I am a salesman.

I have a dream.

I dream of a world where salespeople are respected for their professionalism and helpfulness, instead of loathed for their trickery and deceit.

I dream of a world where salespeople succeed or fail based on their professionalism and integrity.

I dream of the day when children say, “When I grow up, I want to be a salesman,” with the same pride, the same intent to serve and the same starry eyes as when they say “fireman” today.

I dream of the day when executives view meetings with salespeople as the most exciting, collaborative conversations on their calendars.

I dream of the day when the “salesdrips” of the world are forced to find happiness in someone else’s profession, because their manipulative garbage no longer works.
